Job summary

New Way Trucking Ltd. in Winnipeg, MB is seeking a motivated truck driver to join a two-person team for long-haul routes. Frequent travel is required; you will load and unload cargo and ensure cargo safety on international routes.

The role requires a valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A) and a commitment to accuracy in recording hours, cargo data, and vehicle inspections. On-the-job training will be provided; relocation support may be available.

Qualifications

• Requires a valid driver's license (Class 1 or A).
• On-the-job training provided; no prior experience required.
• Frequent travel and international routing experience are part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
• Load and unload goods.
• Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes.
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment.
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
• Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo.
