Job summary

New Way Trucking Ltd. in Alberta is seeking a driver to join a two-person team, plan routes, load and unload cargo, and perform pre-trip and enroute inspections to ensure safety and efficiency.

Travel is frequent as routes vary; relocation costs are covered by the employer. Training is provided; a Class 1/A license is required to join our team.

You will relay information to dispatch, monitor fuel usage, and maintain cargo security throughout each trip.

Qualifications

• Secondary school graduation required.
• No previous experience required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions using GPS devices.
• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
• Load and unload goods.
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle.
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
• Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo.
