Groupe Nadeau in Saint-Jean-Baptiste, QC, seeks a dedicated truck driver with 2+ years’ experience to operate straight or articulated trucks on-site. You will plan routes and secure cargo while on the road.

You’ll load/unload goods, inspect vehicles, relay information to dispatch, and maintain logs of hours of service and fuel. Benefits include group insurance, life insurance, and a night shift premium.

Qualifications

Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
Experience with routing and logistics is preferred.
Valid driver’s licence and related certifications required.

Responsibilities

Plan or adjust routes based on conditions using GPS to minimize fuel use.
Professionalism in customer service.
Load and unload goods.
Obtain permits and documents for international cargo routes.
Operate and drive trucks to transport goods and materials.
Inspect vehicle condition and equipment.
Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip checks.

Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions

Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
