MOR LOGISTICS MANITOBA LTD in Winnipeg is seeking a truck driver to operate on-site at our Manitoba location, handling dry bulk or refrigerated cargo with a Class 1 licence and air brakes endorsement. This role requires route planning, cargo safety, and coordination with dispatch.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, vehicle inspections, and keeping accurate logs. Cross-border and overnight travel may be required. Free parking available at the site.

Formación

• Secondary school graduation certificate is required.
• Valid Class 1/1F/A Licence for semi trailers with Air Brakes Endorsement.
• Willing to travel cross-border and overnight if needed.
• On-site work at physical location with no remote option.

Responsabilidades

• Plan or adjust routes to minimize fuel use and emissions.
• Load and unload goods.
• Drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Inspect vehicle condition (tires, lights, brakes, etc.) and perform preventive maintenance.
• Coordinate with central dispatch and relay information.
• Record cargo information and hours of service.
• Tarp and secure cargo safely.
• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections.

Responsibilities

Tasks

• Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
• Professionalism in customer service
• Load and unload goods
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
• Perform emergency roadside repairs
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
• Perform preventive maintenance
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
• Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
