Job summary

KAPA LOGISTICS LTD in Delta, BC is seeking an entry-level tractor-trailer driver to join a two-person team and transport goods locally and across the border.

The role requires a valid Class 1/A license with Air Brake endorsement; training will be provided. You will load, unload, inspect vehicles, and ensure cargo safety in a physically demanding, on-site position.

Qualifications

• No degree, certificate or diploma required.
• No experience needed; on-the-job training provided.
• Valid driver’s licence (Class 1/A) and Air Brake Endorsement required.
• Willing to travel cross-border when needed.

Responsibilities

• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
• Load and unload goods.
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment.
• Perform brake adjustments.
• Perform emergency roadside repairs.
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
• Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo.
