Job summary

Intermountain Trucking is seeking a reliable truck driver to operate in a two-person team or convoy. The role includes driving lighter and specialty trucks, loading/unloading goods, and ensuring vehicle readiness through routine inspections.

Candidates should have a valid Class 1 or A license and air brakes endorsement. Willingness to travel cross-border and extended periods, with on-site work at the location in Surrey, BC.

Qualifications

• No degree required/asset
• Air Brakes Endorsement required/asset
• Driver's License (Class 1 or A) required
• Experience in transportation/travel is an asset

Responsibilities

• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
• Drive lighter, special purpose trucks
• Load and unload goods
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
• Perform brake adjustments
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
• Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
