Job summary

JobsMedia.io is seeking a driver for permanent long-haul routes in Canada. The role requires mountain driving expertise, strong customer service, and the ability to work in a two-person team or convoy.

You will operate tractor-trailers, load and unload goods, and conduct thorough vehicle inspections to ensure safe transport. The job involves on-the-road work, with duties including cargo documentation, trip recording, and secure tarping of loads.

Qualifications

• Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent.
• Experience driving tractor-trailer or long-haul routes is preferred.
• Must have AZ class license and Class 1/A license.
• Air Brake (Z) endorsement required.
• Ability to operate GPS and on-board trip recorder.

Responsibilities

• Drive tractor-trailer to transport goods and materials.
• Load and unload cargo safely.
• Maintain vehicle condition; inspect tires, lights, brakes and other equipment.
• Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspections.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
• Communicate with central dispatch; relay information as needed.
• Tarp and secure cargo; ensure safety and security of cargo.
