Job summary

SPEEDHAUL TRUCKING INC is seeking drivers for long-haul routes based in Abbotsford. Position requires operating tractor-trailer units, coordinating with a two-person team, and handling cargo across international routes.

No prior experience is required as on-site training will be provided. A valid Class 1 or A licence and willingness to travel cross-border are essential. On-site work with comprehensive benefits is offered.

Responsibilities

• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
• Load and unload goods.
• Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes.
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment.
• Perform emergency roadside repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance.
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
