Job summary

FRC Transport Ltd is seeking a capable truck driver to join a two-person team on long-haul and local routes from Calgary, Alberta. Training is provided for no-experience applicants.

Position requires on-site work at the location with potential cross-border trips and overnight travel. Expect duties including loading, unloading, inspecting vehicles, and maintaining cargo safety in a demanding environment.

Qualifications

  • Secondary school graduation certificate required; no formal experience needed.
  • Air Brakes Endorsement and Class 1/A license preferred.
  • On-site work with relocation support.
  • Travel across cross-border may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
  • Load and unload goods.
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment.
  • Perform brake adjustments.
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs.
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle.
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
  • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo.
  • Transport and handle dangerous goods.
