Job summary
LATÉCOÈRE Aérostructures Canada in Delta, BC seeks a Logistics Supervisor to lead Shipping, Receiving and Receiving Inspection. The role reports to Procurement Manager and coordinates material movement to meet production and delivery targets, while controlling costs and ensuring safety and quality.
The ideal candidate will have at least four years in shipping/receiving, supervisory experience with union staff, strong leadership and Excel proficiency, plus knowledge of health and safety
Qualifications
- Minimum four years of Shipping and Receiving experience with supervision of union staff.
- Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety; proficient with Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Nadcap and ISO quality-system experience is an asset; Lean/5S/Six Sigma preferred.
- Ability to meet controlled-goods and export-control requirements for military programs.
Responsibilities
- Supervise material handlers, receiving, and loading of outbound shipments.
- Coordinate Receiving Inspection staff and expedite inspections per procedures.
- Manage internal transport to align with production schedules and stock needs.
- Control freight, duties, brokerage costs; support carrier consolidation and stock levels.
- Ensure on-time shipping and accurate inventory transactions.
