Planned contract dates: Full-time role (1 Year Contract Position)

Job title: Logistics Specialist

Location: Montreal, Quebec (8:30am-5:30pm; Tuesday-Thursdays in office)

About the Role:

This is a temporary, full-time 1 year contract position. Reporting to the Supply Chain/Logistics Director, the Logistics Specialist will play a hands-on role in overseeing and optimizing the daily operations of the logistics and supply chain functions, including transportation, warehousing and inventory.

Responsibilities:

Logistics Data Management:

• Rolling change management

Transportation Management (internationally and locally):

• Factory Open Order maintenance
• Shipping coordination and documentations
• Customs clearance coordination
• Warehouse inbound planning balancing with warehouse space and receiving capacity
• Transportation analysis

Inventory Management:

• Warehouse space optimization analysis
• Balance the warehouse inventory level working with planning function
• Packing material procurement and inventory management
• Inventory adjustment control, quality warehouse maintenance
• Inventory count for both warehouse and stores
• Local Inventory Reports
• Supplier service invoice validation and approval
• Cost analysis and improvement plan

• Handle many diverse projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
• Experience using data analytics software for research
• Project management, planning, and coordination capability

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree of Logistics/Supply Chain
• 2-3 years of experience in Logistics/Supply Chain field
• Bilingual (English and French) The successful candidate will be required to communicate in English with our English-speaking customers and colleagues in Canada and abroad, including the United States.
