Job Description: Logistics Planner

The Opportunity :

The Logistics Planner is responsible for outbound supply chain operations to ensure customer orders are fulfilled in alignment with commitments and customer expectations. This role involves optimizing the utilization of the fleet and drivers, route planning, and supporting profitable growth for the organization.

Responsibilities :

  1. Fulfill customer deliveries through analysis of requirements, demands, capacity, constraints, and geography.
  2. Develop and communicate daily optimal routes for our fleet and drivers, coordinating with drivers and customers.
  3. Proactively identify and resolve issues to prevent service failures.
  4. Analyze data and maintain reporting metrics to improve efficiency and customer service.
  5. Provide updates to customers and resolve issues proactively, escalating when necessary.
  6. Implement strategies to increase productivity, efficiency, and safety while reducing waste.
  7. Manage performance metrics and scorecard processes.
  8. Engage with sales and operations to build customer relationships and grow the business.
  9. Analyze outbound delivery performance and identify process improvements.
  10. Collaborate on change management initiatives to enhance organizational effectiveness.
  11. Conduct KPI variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
  12. Support drivers with system and customer issue troubleshooting.
  13. Provide insights for supply chain improvements, capacity planning, and scheduling.
  14. Coordinate with operations on equipment maintenance and driver scheduling requirements.

Requirements :

  1. Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
  2. Minimum of 2 years' experience in a supply chain management role.
  3. Excellent customer service and communication skills across all organizational levels.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software.
  5. Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
