Job summary

Equinox Gold's Musselwhite Mine in Northwestern Ontario is hiring a Logistics Miner to support underground operations. Based on-site, you will join a tight-knit team and report to the Logistics Supervisor, contributing to continuous development and growth.

The role requires at least 2 years underground mining experience or heavy machinery operation, the ability to work 12-hour shifts, and Ontario Common Core Certification; a valid driver's license is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of underground mining experience or previous experience operating heavy machinery.
• Able to work 12 hour shifts in underground conditions.
• Ontario Common Core Certification is required.
• Current and valid Driver's License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate Boom Truck and deliverables.
• Service installation - pipe, vent, cables & atomizers.
• Tele-Remote installations.
• Sump Maintenance and Road Maintenance.
• Conduct Pre and Post Blast activities.
• Install and grout cables.
• Collaborate with Logistics Leaders and Underground Supervisors.
• Maintain safety and efficiency at all times.

Purpose

As part of our acquisition of Musselwhite Mine, we are recruiting Logistics Miners. This role will be based on-site and will be responsible for contributing their skills and knowledge to our ongoing development and growth. This role will report to the Logistics Supervisor and will be key to the success of the Mine Department.

Responsibilities include:

• Operate Boom Truck for deliverables
• Service installation - pipe, vent, cables & atomizers
• Tele- Remote installations
• Sump Maintenance (Scissor lift, 9 yard Scoop)
• Road Maintenance (Grader, 3 Yard Scoop)
• Conduct Pre and Post Blast activities
• Install and grout cables
• Be an engaged and active member of a highly productive team
• Take direction from the Logistics Leaders and/or Underground Supervisors in a positive manner
• Work in a safe and efficient manner at all times

Skills and Experience:

• 2+ years of underground mining experience or previous experience operating heavy machinery.
• HITE training preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to safely work 12 hour shifts in a variety of underground conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Experience with Logistics equipment an asset but not required.
• Possess Ontario Common Core Certification.
• Current and Valid Driver's License preferred.

Working Conditions:

The schedule for this position will consist of 14 days on and 14 days off, 12 hours per day.

Compensation:

• The base salary range for this position isCAD$113,826 - $139,292 per year, depending on skills, experience, and qualifications.
• The Company offers a Defined Contribution Pension Plan (DCPP), including an automatic 5% employer contribution, with the option for employees to receive up to an additional 4% employer match on employee contributions.
