Job Title: Logistics Manager
Department: Supply Chain
Reports to: Sr. Director of Planning & Distribution
Location: Onsite, Langley, B.C.
Pay range will be dependent upon experience.
The Logistics Manager oversees the supply chain operations of an organization, ensuring that products or services are delivered efficiently, on time, and in a cost-effective manner.
Essential Functions Include:- Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize supply chain operations.
- Coordinate and monitor the entire order cycle, from procurement to delivery.
- Manage transportation, warehouse, inventory, and distribution operations.
- Analyze and optimize logistical procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and transportation providers.
- Track delivery times, transportation costs, and other key performance indicators.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and customs requirements.
- Supervise logistics staff and provide mentorship and training.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems that arise in the supply chain.
- Manage logistics budgets and control expenses.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Include:- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or related area.
- Strong knowledge of logistics operations and supply chain management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in logistics software and MS Office applications.
- Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Experience with warehouse management systems and ERP software.
- Knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs procedures.
- Certification in logistics or supply chain management (CSCP, CLTD, etc.), preferred.
- Experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives, preferred.
- Familiarity with lean principles and Six Sigma methodologies, preferred.
