Job summary

Metro Supply Chain is seeking a logistics coordinator to support delivery drivers, track orders, and ensure accurate billing. You will maintain strong client relationships and help implement logistics plans to meet delivery times and productivity goals.

The role requires good communication, teamwork, and a customer-centric approach, with a Monday–Friday schedule and on-site work in Alberta, Canada.

Qualifications

  • Secondary school or college diploma, or equivalent business administration experience.
  • Related logistics experience would be an asset.
  • Strong communication, problem solving and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Route distribution and support to delivery drivers on the road (monitoring).
  • Follow up on orders and notify the customer of activity related to their merchandise.
  • Prepare, classify, and distribute billing papers and ensure invoices are accurate.
  • Maintain strong client relationships by responding to requests in a courteous, efficient manner.
  • Coordinate implementation of logistics plans to meet delivery times and productivity goals.

Summary

Takes care of logistics and customer service activities such as responding to inquiries, supporting delivery personnel, handling complaints, all in a prompt, courteous and efficient manner. Responsibilities also include answering the phone, and other clerical duties requested by the supervisor.

Responsibilities
  • Route distribution and support to delivery drivers on the road (monitoring).
  • Follow up on orders and notify the customer of any activity related to their merchandise.
  • Correct inventory errors and communicate daily with the client and the operations team to address various issues. Provide proof of shipment to the customer if required.
  • Prepare, classify, and distribute billing papers for delivery partners and ensure accurate billing by checking invoices generated by the system.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients by responding to all their requests in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Prepare various reports for the management team
  • Control all documents associated with orders.
  • Coordinate the implementation of a logistics plan to achieve delivery time and productivity objectives.
  • Participate in the implementation of work procedures developed jointly with operations, transport, and customer service.
  • Responsible for on-time shipments as prioritized by customer ensuring daily workload is executed well.
  • Monitor productivity levels of operations and communicate problems to supervisor.
  • Train staff, when necessary, on procedures, policies, and special projects.
  • Promote a clean, safe, and positive work environment
  • Other duties as required
Education
  • Completion of secondary school or college or equivalent business administration experience is preferred.
