MTL Cannabis Corp. is currently seeking a Logistics Coordinator. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the Logistics Coordinator will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate, timely, and compliant movement of cannabis products across provincial distribution channels. The role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage data and documentation for regulated shipments.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain shipment records by entering purchase orders and shipment data into internal tracking systems and updating key milestones such as shipment and delivery dates.
- Schedule and track distribution center appointments and integrate them into internal production or packaging schedules.
- Create and organize shipment documentation folders, ensuring that all transport-related records (e.g., Bills of Lading, packing slips, shipping documents) are properly stored and accessible.
- Coordinate with carriers to obtain Proof of Delivery (POD) documents and file them accordingly for audit and compliance purposes.
- Remove fulfilled inventory from internal inventory tracking systems to ensure real-time stock accuracy.
- Conduct daily shipment monitoring, including tracking and tracing outbound orders to confirm on-time delivery and resolve issues as needed.
- Assist in the preparation of required logistics documents, including chain of custody forms, pallet labels, and shipping manifests.
- Generate and share shipment summaries or inventory breakdowns with stakeholders in advance of scheduled pickups.
- Maintain shipping records and tracking details in master reporting tools to support supply chain visibility and financial reconciliation.
- Collaborate with the finance team to verify freight charges and ensure shipping costs are accurately reflected in order records.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Post-secondary program in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in logistics coordination, inventory tracking, or shipping documentation (cannabis industry experience is a strong asset).
- Proficiency in Excel and document management systems; experience with tools like Elevated Signals is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with an exceptional eye for detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Effective communication and follow-up skills with internal teams and external carriers.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
- Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.
