Job summary

Baldface Lodge is seeking a Housekeeper for the winter season to keep the lodge, chalets, and common areas immaculate for guests in a high‑energy, hands‑on role.

You will flip guest rooms, handle laundry, assist with breakfast setup, prep the après area, and help in the lodge retail shop during evening hours, all on a 7‑day shift cycle in Nelson, BC.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of guest rooms, chalets, bathrooms and common areas daily.
• Perform daily cleaning and vacuuming of the lodge as needed.
• Clean all guest accommodations during transition days, including bedding changes.
• Manage laundry tasks and keep the Laundry area tidy and organized.
• Set up the breakfast table for the next morning's service and be present during service.
• Prepare the après area and replenish items; assist kitchen staff as needed.
• Help arrange dining room and assist in the lodge's retail shop during evenings.

Baldface is looking for a Housekeeper to join our lodge team for the winter season. This is a hands‑on, high‑energy role for someone who takes pride in the details, loves working as part of a crew, and isn't afraid to work hard and play hard.

You’ll spend your days keeping the lodge, chalets, and common spaces looking their best. Depending on the day, you might be flipping guest rooms, crushing a mountain of laundry, helping serve breakfast, setting up après, or jumping into the retail shop.

Overview of Responsibilities:

• Maintain the cleanliness of guest rooms, chalets, guest bathrooms, and common areas in the lodge daily.
• Perform daily cleaning and vacuuming of the entire lodge as needed.
• During transition days, ensure the meticulous cleaning of all guest accommodations, including changing bedding and towels. This aspect is critical as it forms the guest's initial impression.
• Manage laundry tasks, including washing, drying, and folding. Maintain a tidy and well‑organized housekeeping area.
• Set up the breakfast table for the following morning's service and be present during service hours.
• Prepare the après food service area in advance of guest arrival. Monitor and replenish food items as required, promptly informing kitchen staff of any shortages. Provide attentive and courteous service to guests.
• Contribute to the arrangement of the dining room for dinner service and assist in the lodge's retail shop during the evening hours.

$$: The starting rate for this position is $240 per day. Your actual day rate will be determined by your level of related experience with the skillset required for this job and your seniority. After your initial interview, we'll be able to tell you exactly what your rate will be.
