Job summary

Sunwapta Falls Rocky Mountain Lodge in the Canadian Rockies seeks seasonal housekeepers to start ASAP through October 2026. Maintain cleanliness of guest rooms and public areas to high standards in a busy remote lodge with outdoor cabins and lots of walking daily.

No prior housekeeping experience required; training provided. Must be comfortable working outdoors, able to work independently or in a team, with strong attention to detail and the ability to stand long and lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, dust, and vacuum to keep guest rooms and public areas clean.
• Keep your cart stocked and ready.
• Make beds, change sheets and towels, and restock supplies in guest rooms.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms (sinks, toilets, showers, tubs).
• Check and refill amenities (soap, shampoo, lotion).
• Report maintenance issues to supervisor.
• Follow health and safety guidelines for a safe environment.
• Rooms checked by Room Checker; address deficiencies promptly.
• Assist with laundry or room checking as needed.
• Daily cleaning of public washrooms in the main lodge.
• Light cleaning of other lodge areas.

Job description

We are a seasonal property with positions for housekeepers starting ASAP until October 2026.

For our international applicants, please note we do not have any LMIA spots available at this time.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our housekeeping team at our hotel in the Canadian Rockies. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of guest rooms and public areas to our high standards. The lodge is in a very busy remote location and the cabins are outside with lots of walking each day.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to ensure guest rooms and public areas are clean and well-maintained
• Keep your cart stocked and ready
• Make beds, change sheets and towels, and restock guest room supplies as needed
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, showers, and tubs
• Check and refill amenities such as soap, shampoo, and lotion
• Report any maintenance issues or damaged items to the supervisor
• Follow all health and safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment for guests and team members
• Your rooms are checked by a Room Checker, and you will be called back for deficiencies to bring your room to our standards
• Assist with laundry or room checking as needed
• Daily cleaning of public washrooms in the main lodge
• Light cleaning of other areas of the lodge if needed

Requirements:

• Previous housekeeping experience is preferred, but not required as we will train the right candidates

• Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 lbs

Compensation:

• Wage: $17-19 plus bonuses.
• Staff accommodation is available for employees over the age of 18 at $4.41 per day.
• Completion Bonus: If contract is completed you will receive$1 for every hour worked, plus a bonus that will cover the cost of your rent.
• Referral Bonus: $500 if both yours and your referrals contract are completed.
