Kendrix Technologies is seeking a skilled Locksmith Technician to deliver high-quality locksmithing services across commercial, residential, industrial, and institutional environments throughout the Lower Mainland.

This hands-on field role covers installation, service, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical and high-security locking systems while delivering exceptional customer service and representing the company on every job site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years experience in commercial, residential, industrial, and institutional locksmithing.
• Proficient with Medeco high-security systems.
• Thorough customer service ethic.
• Ability to work in a team and independently.
• Computer and record-keeping skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
• Punctual, reliable, self-motivated, calm under pressure, and detail-oriented.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Security Worker's License.
• Clean criminal record.

Responsibilities

• Follow Citiloc standards, policies, and safety procedures.
• Install, service, repair, and maintain mechanical and electronic locking hardware.
• Work across commercial, residential, industrial, and institutional environments.
• Install and service high-security locking systems, including Medeco high-security systems.
• Re-key, master key, and set up keying systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot lock and door hardware issues.
• Install and adjust door closers, electric strikes, magnetic locks, and panic hardware.
• Respond to service calls in a timely and professional manner.
• Attend and participate in site meetings.
• Coordinate with other trades on active job sites.

Locksmith Technician- Full Time: Burnaby, travel within Lower Mainland| $35-$45/hr + Benefits, Company Vehicle or Vehicle Allowance, and 100% paid certifications and training

Position Overview

Kendrix, formerly known as Citiloc is seeking a skilled and dependable Locksmith to deliver high-quality locksmithing services across commercial, residential, industrial, and institutional environments throughout the Lower Mainland.

This is a hands-on field role. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, servicing, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical and high-security locking systems, while delivering exceptional customer service and representing Citiloc professionally on every job site. This position reports to the Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Locksmithing & Service Execution (Primary Focus)

• Follow Citiloc standards, policies, and safety procedures
• Install, service, repair, and maintain mechanical and electronic locking hardware
• Work across commercial, residential, industrial, and institutional environments
• Install and service high-security locking systems, including Medeco high-security systems
• Re-key, master key, and set up keying systems
• Diagnose and troubleshoot lock and door hardware issues
• Install and adjust door closers, electric strikes, magnetic locks, and panic hardware
• Respond to service calls in a timely and professional manner
• Attend and participate in site meetings
• Coordinate with other trades on active job sites

Customer Service & Site Conduct

• Deliver a thorough, professional customer service experience on every job
• Communicate clearly and effectively with clients, trades, and team members
• Represent Citiloc professionally and maintain a positive client relationship

Documentation & Record Keeping

• Complete work orders and service reports accurately
• Maintain accurate keying records and system documentation
• Provide clear and accurate documentation to the management team

Ad Hoc Responsibilities

• Provide on-site support to field staff as required
• Act as a technical resource for locksmithing and door hardware questions

Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Education

• Minimum 2+ years experience in commercial, residential, industrial, and institutional locksmithing required
