Bandstra Transportation Systems Ltd. in Smithers, BC is seeking an experienced Local P&D Driver to support our day shift operations from the Smithers terminal. This role emphasizes safe, reliable service to our customers and adherence to company safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class 5 license with valid Air Brake Endorsement. (Class 1 license would be an asset)
• Must submit a driver's abstract must show no driving-related criminal code convictions in the prior 36 months; no more than 2 moving violations in the prior 12 months; and no more than 3 moving violations in the prior 36 months. The date of conviction and the current date will be the date used to determine time periods
• Must pass a pre-employment screening
• Must have strong attention to detail
• Should be comfortable interacting with customers
• Has 2+ years of experience in commercial driving
• Preferably knows the National Safety Code Cargo Securement Standard 10
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Is proficient in English, both in reading and writing
