Job summary

Bandstra Transportation Systems Ltd. in Terrace, BC is seeking an experienced Local 5-Ton Driver for the day shift, Tuesday to Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., operating a 5-ton truck with Power Tail Gate.

You will handle local pickups and deliveries, load and unload with a forklift as needed, and uphold high safety standards through pre-trip inspections and thorough paperwork. A valid Class 5 licence and 2+ years of driving experience are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class 5 licence; Air Brake Endorsement is an asset.
• Driver abstract must show no driving-related convictions in the past 36 months; no more than 2 moving violations in past 12 months; no more than 3 in past 36 months.
• Must pass a pre-employment screening.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Customer service orientation.
• 2+ years of commercial driving experience.
• Preferably knowledge of NSC Cargo Securement Standard 10.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Proficient in English reading and writing.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are currently accepting resumes for an experienced Local 5-Ton Driver based from our Terrace, BC terminal, driving for the day shift operating from Tuesday-Saturday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

• Must submit a driver's abstract must show no driving-related criminal code convictions in the prior 36 months; no more than 2 moving violations in the prior 12 months; and no more than 3 moving violations in the prior 36 months. The date of conviction and the current date will be the date used to determine time periods
• Must pass a pre-employment screening
• Must have strong attention to detail
• Should be comfortable interacting with customers and providing great customer service
• Has 2+ years of experience in commercial driving
• Preferably knows the National Safety Code Cargo Securement Standard 10
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Is proficient in English, both in reading and writing
