Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate Class 1 vehicles for local deliveries and pickups.

• Follow all safety regulations and standards.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles/power units.

We are currently accepting resumes for two experienced Class 1 Switch Drivers for P.M. shifts at our Terrace, BC location. The schedule is are Monday–Saturday, working 6:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

Job Summary

The successful applicant will be expected to perform the following:

• Operate Class 1 vehicles for local deliveries and pickups
• Safely transport goods to designated locations

• Maintain accurate delivery logs and documents
• Ensure all safety regulations and standards are followed
• Perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles / power units

Qualifications

In order to be qualified, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

• Valid Class 1 license
• Minimum 1 year of local driving experience
• Strong attention to detail
• Knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations
• Driver's abstract must show no driving-related criminal code convictions in the prior 36 months; no more than 2 moving violations in the prior 12 months; and no more than 3 moving violations in the prior 36 months. The date of conviction and the current date will be the date used to determine time periods
• Previous warehouse experience a plus
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug testing
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Proficient in English (both reading and writing)
• A positive, team-oriented attitude
