Cardinal Couriers Ltd. in Ottawa, Ontario is seeking a dependable AZ Driver for linehaul and scheduled routes. Night shifts run 3:30 PM–4:00 AM, Monday to Friday, with full-time employment and competitive benefits.

The role requires 2+ years of commercial driving, a clean driving record, and the ability to lift up to 70 lbs. You will maintain hours-of-service records, load and secure cargo, and communicate with dispatch and customers.

Formación

• Valid AZ driver’s license with at least 2 years of experience.
• 2–3 years of commercial driving experience required.
• Clean driver’s abstract and CVOR.
• Previous warehouse or shipping/receiving experience is an asset.

Responsabilidades

• Safely operate heavy trucks in compliance with traffic laws and company policies.
• Transport freight over assigned routes while meeting delivery schedules.
• Load, secure, and stabilize cargo to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
• Offload shipments and confirm quantities against delivery paperwork.
• Navigate routes efficiently, including unfamiliar locations.
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (brakes, tires, lights, etc.).
• Identify and report mechanical issues or maintenance concerns promptly.
• Maintain accurate records for hours of service, mileage, and deliveries.
• Communicate clearly with dispatches, customers, and internal teams.
• Deliver professional and courteous customer service at all delivery points.
• Adhere to all safety policies and report any incidents or violations immediately.

Position Summary

Cardinal Couriers is looking for a dependable and experienced AZ Driver to join our Ottawa team. This role involves linehaul and completing scheduled routes to ensure timely, safe, and accurate deliveries. The position is fast-paced and physically demanding, requiring carrying, and maneuvering, maintaining a high standard of service and safety.

Key Responsibilities
