Team & Job Overview

We are building a pool of candidates to fill future vacancies for the role of Loans Services Manager. The Loans Operations team manages all EDC financing products from signing to final repayment, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and dependability. We seek a dynamic, motivated professional to actively contribute to achieving team objectives and managing a portfolio of financing transactions.

This posting may also be used for future permanent and contract roles over the next 12 months.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage the lifecycle of financial transactions, ensuring proper disbursement, prompt customer payments, and repayments.
  2. Identify banking solutions and recommend modifications to payment infrastructure.
  3. Interpret loan documents to create accurate loan structures in the operational system.
  4. Analyze documentation for conformity with loan agreements for disbursement eligibility.
  5. Manage global payment and settlement systems for all cash flows.
  6. Invoice and collect loan repayments as per agreements.
  7. Oversee the lifecycle of loans, ensuring correct payment allocations and verifications.
  8. Implement risk mitigation and collection strategies for overdue amounts, maintaining ledger accuracy.
  9. Handle escalations of complex customer issues and inquiries.
  10. Provide accurate data for management and reporting purposes.
Screening Criteria
  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or relevant work experience.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in business administration or finance operations.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Basic knowledge of banking, cash flow management, and loan servicing.
Assets
  • Bilingual candidates (English and French) preferred.
  • Experience in Customer Service and loan servicing systems like CLS and PeopleSoft.
  • Experience in banking industry and/or professional designations (e.g., CFA, CPA) or MBA.
Location

Hybrid work environment at EDC’s Ottawa head office. Relocation assistance available for eligible candidates. Not eligible for contract roles.

Compensation
  • Salaries typically range from $63,894 to $85,194, based on qualifications and experience.
