Job summary

Clintar Landscape Management in Ontario is hiring Loader Operators for the Winter Season to join our ice and snow management team. These on-call positions require readiness for overnight shifts and weekend work as winter conditions dictate.

You'll operate loaders to clear snow, protect property, and coordinate with supervisors using the LMN system. A valid Ontario G license, reliable smartphone, and 1–5 years of loader experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Loader operation experience in snowy conditions.
• Must be on-call 24/7 during winter including holidays.
• Ontario Class G driver's licence with clean record.
• Reliable smartphone with data plan for timesheets.
• Strong attention to safety and customer service.
• Able to work long shifts overnight.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate loaders to clear snow and move it to storage areas.
• Respond promptly to snow/ice events, including overnight calls.
• Protect property and maintain safe, clean work sites.
• Follow site maps and site-specific instructions using the LMN system.
• Communicate with supervisors about conditions and progress.
• Report equipment malfunctions and safety concerns promptly to Winter Supervisor.

Job description

Clintar Landscape Management is hiring Loader Operators for the Winter Season. Join our dedicated ice and snow management team, focused on efficient clearing and de-icing operations. These are on-call positions, often overnight, and dependent on winter conditions. Candidates must be available on short notice, 24/7, including weekends and holidays. We service commercial, industrial, and institutional properties throughout the region. For suitable candidates, there may be opportunities for permanent employment at the end of the Winter Season.

Compensation:

• $28 to $33 an hour Heavy Equipment Operators plus $150 - $250 a week standby for Winter Season (standby and hourly rate is based off experience)
• BONUS for referring a friend with perfect attendance at the end of the Winter Season
• Extra $$ Bonus for working over holidays

Responsibilities & Qualifications:

• Must be available on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week during the winter season, including Christmas and statutory holidays. (Extra $$ Bonus for working over holidays)
• Respond promptly to snow and ice events, including freezing rain, overnight calls, and extended shifts
• Safely operate equipment to clear snow and move it to designated snow storage areas according to site-specific requirements
• Protect customer property, vehicles, landscaping, curbs, and other site features while maintaining safe, clean work sites
• Follow site maps, route books, and site-specific instructions using the LMN system
• Communicate with supervisors and dispatch regarding site conditions, work progress, delays, equipment issues, and incidents
• Report equipment malfunctions, hazards, property damage, and safety concerns promptly to your Winter Supervisor
• Experience operating loaders in snowy conditions is a strong asset (1 to 5 years of experience preferred)
• Must have a reliable smartphone with an active data plan to access LMN and accurately submit daily timesheets through the mobile application
• Must demonstrate good judgment, attention to detail, and a commitment to safe equipment operation and excellent customer service
• Must follow all company policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements
• Must report to work alert, fit for duty, and free from impairment that could affect the safe operation of equipment
• Must possess a valid Ontario Class G driver's licence with a good driving record when operating vehicles
