Job description

Our Loader Operators have an incredibly important job as part of a team ensuring public safety and accessibility throughout the winter season in the City of Markham.

Loader Operators are responsible the clearing of snow as per municipal contract specifications; in an efficient manner, with a strong focus on safety.

Essential Duties

• Snow removal service for City of Markham, primarily focusing on cul-de-sacs.
• Previous experience with operating a Loader is required.
• Must be available for on-call 24/7 during the winter season (November 2026 to April 2027).
• Reliable, trustworthy and able to work varying hours, days, nights, holidays and weekends as needed.
• Operate in a safe manner, ensuring property is not damaged in the efforts of removing snow.
• Maintain care of company provided equipment, tools and vehicles.

Compensation

• This position includes a weekly on-call rate, as well as an hourly rate for the time spent working ($32/hour).
• Accommodations are available upon request for candidates taking part in all stages of the selection process.
