Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment for the City (dump truck, grader, loader, skid steer, excavator, hydro-vac, backhoe).
• Spread salt and sand for ice control.
• Flush sewer lines and maintain the municipal compost site.
• Perform road and street maintenance; maintain drainage systems.
• Dig ditches, cemetery plots, and other digs as needed.
• Load and unload trucks with supplies and materials.
• Seasonal cleanup; clean sidewalks and roads.
• Assist in maintaining equipment, water and sewer works, and fire hydrants.
• Oversee seasonal employees as needed; sign off on competent operators.
• Carry out daily safety procedures and maintain records.
