Job description

Location: Timmins, ON
Job Type: Full-time, Contract (7 months with potential for extension)
Start Date: Immediate
Wage: $40/hour + Overtime after 8 hours.

Northern Labour Supply Services (NLSS) is currently hiring Loader Operators to work at an open-pit site in Timmins, Ontario. This is a direct-hire opportunity, with successful candidates joining the NLSS team directly.

Key Responsibilities:
•Operate large front-end loaders to safely load haul trucks, move material, and assist with general pit operations
•Manage material stockpiles, load bins and hoppers, and assist with road building and pad maintenance
•Ensure consistent loading volumes and avoid overloading to maintain equipment efficiency
•Perform daily equipment inspections and report safety or maintenance issues
•Maintain a clean and organized work area
•Communicate with dispatch and other operators to coordinate site logistics
Requirements:
•
Minimum 1–2 years of loader operating experience in mining or heavy civil construction (e.g., CAT 980, 988 or similar)
•Valid Ontario G-Class Driver’s License
•Reliable transportation to and from the job site (Timmins-based)
•Willing and able to complete a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
•Comfortable working 12-hour strictly day or strictly night shifts (non-rotating), on a 5 days on / 2 days off schedule
•Must have or be willing to complete: WHMIS certification, Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps, and Site-specific induction
