Job summary

Source Energy Services in Peace River, AB is hiring for a full-time on-site role focused on operating loadout systems and ensuring safe, efficient loading of frac sand into trucks. The position requires following SOPs, maintaining equipment, and coordinating with plant staff and drivers.

The role offers a 2 weeks on, 1 week off rotation, a $27 CAD/hour rate, a $2,500 signing bonus, and an 8% monthly bonus after 60 days, plus 80 hours of paid vacation and a comprehensive benefits package.

What You’ll Be Doing

Health Safety and Environment (HSE) Responsibilities:

• Everyone is responsible for their own health and safety, environmental stewardship and the quality of products and services, while performing their duties at Source Energy Services.
• Follow all polices, standards, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and rules at SES locations.
• Participate in the HSE program. This includes being engaged in the ImpACT reporting program.
• Attend safety meetings as required.
• Ensure a full understanding of the hazards and risks within the role and follow the required control measures, including using the correct PPE at all times.
• Ensure the assigned competencies, company and HSE training is completed and up to date.
• Stop tasks when the steps are unclear, competency levels are inadequate, or the risks are unknown. Utilize rapid ID cards to help manage risk and make informed decisions.
• Ask your supervisor for clarification whenever instructions, tasks or risk is not understood.
• Comply with the Short Service Employee and competency programs. This is to ensure that employees are working within their capabilities and defined roles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate truck loadout systems and associated equipment to safely and efficiently load sand product into trucks.
• Verify truck positioning, product type, and load weights prior to and during loading operations.
• Operate and monitor loadout scales and ensure accuracy of weights and documentation.
• Complete loadout tickets, scale tickets, and required reports accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain communication with plant operations, supervisors, and drivers regarding load status, production issues, and operational changes.
• Pull product samples, as required, and adhere to strict quality control standards.
• Monitor product quality during loadout and report concerns or deviations immediately.
• Perform routine inspections of loadout equipment and report any issues or malfunctions to the supervisor.
• Shovel and clean up spillage of sand, rock, or debris at conveyor transfer points, loadout chutes, scale areas, and surrounding work areas.
• Keep loadout and scale areas clean, washed down, and free of debris, with proper disposal of waste materials.
• Operate equipment within scope, which may include skid steer, loader, man lift, telehandler, or company vehicles.
• Observe and monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations and identify potential maintenance concerns.
• Assist maintenance with basic tasks or special projects, as required.
• Support plant operations and assist in other areas of the facility as assigned.
• Cross-train in other operational roles, as required.
• Promote a positive company image during the course and scope of assigned duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
