Dawn Recruiting Agency represents a Canadian media organization seeking a Broadcast Technician to manage live and pre-recorded television broadcasts. The role covers studio support, IT networking, and field ENG operations in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will troubleshoot HD/SDI systems, manage broadcast IT networks, and work with Dejero field solutions, ensuring reliable on-air performance and smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Broadcast Engineering, Electronics, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• 2–3 years of technical experience in a live television broadcast or production environment.

Responsabilités

• Live Broadcast Support: Provide technical support during live news programming and studio productions; ensure audio, video, transmission, and equipment operate reliably; respond quickly to on-air issues.
• Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on broadcast equipment; troubleshoot cameras, switchers, audio consoles, graphics systems, and routing.
• IT & Network Support: Support IP-based broadcast systems and networked storage; assist with digital asset management and broadcast IT infrastructure; work with network tech.
• Remote & Field Operations: Assist with setup, testing, and operation of ENG equipment; support Dejero and field reporting solutions.
• System Integration: Assist engineering with upgrades and new installations; support cabling and technical projects in studio and master control.
