Job summary

Homestead is seeking a live-in Superintendent in Hamilton, ON. The role focuses on maintenance, minor plumbing/electrical, cleaning duties, and office coverage. You will handle work orders, show apartments, collect rents, and address tenant needs on a rotating schedule with weekend shifts every other week.

The ideal candidate brings property management or maintenance experience and a positive, detail-oriented attitude. A valid First Aid certification is required and funded by the company.

Qualifications

• Experience in property management is an asset.
• Maintenance and/or cleaning experience is an asset.
• First Aid certification is required and paid for by the Company.
• Ability to handle pressure with a positive attitude.
• Goal-oriented with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain common areas and corridors.
• Prepare apartments for new residents.
• Facilitate work orders and perform minor plumbing and electrical repairs.
• Take on grounds maintenance tasks.
• Address tenant concerns promptly and professionally.
• Maintain positive relations with tenants.
• Show vacant suites to prospective residents.
• Collect and record rents and serve legal documents as needed.
• Rent upcoming suites and complete required documentation.
• Follow on-call schedule and perform other duties as assigned by Manager.
