Job summary

Home Instead Markham is seeking a Live-In Personal Support Worker (PSW) for an ongoing assignment. Live-in shifts are typically Friday through Sunday on alternating weekends, providing extended care and companionship in the client's home.

You will assist with personal care, housekeeping, meal preparation, and mobility support while building meaningful relationships with clients. A PSW diploma and overnight stay readiness are required.

Qualifications

• Completion of a PSW diploma from an Ontario institution.
• Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly manner.
• Comfortable overnight stays during live-in shifts (2–5 days).
• Criminal background check required.

Requirements

• Completion of a Personal Support Worker (PSW) diploma from an accredited Ontario educational institution
• Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
• Possessing a valid driver's license, a vehicle, and valid auto insurance is an asset but not required
• Complete a criminal background check
• Must be comfortable staying overnight in the client's home during live-in shifts lasting 2-5 consecutive days
