Job summary

BMO Financial Group in Toronto is seeking a senior paralegal/legal analyst to provide dedicated legal services, manage case work independently, and support litigation teams in a fast-paced environment.

You will prepare and revise legal documents, handle subpoenas, create reports and dashboards, and help drive risk mitigation with data-driven insights. The role requires at least 7 years of experience and a paralegal certification or degree.

Qualifications

• Paralegal certification or post-secondary degree is required.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in legal services.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and data-driven decision skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Acts as trusted advisor to assigned business and supports litigation teams.
• Prepares and revises legal documents and reports with attention to risk.
• Manages data, creates reports and dashboards, and ensures data integrity.
• Handles subpoenas and orders in collaboration with counsel.
• Identifies emerging issues and informs decision-making with analytics.
• Contributes to strategic initiatives and prepares presentation materials.
