Job summary

Otter Co-op is hiring three Part-Time Liquor Store Associates for Angry Otter Liquor @ Parkcrest in Burnaby, BC. You will provide friendly customer service, handle transactions, balance tills, stock and rotate products, and receive deliveries while upholding Otter Co-op values of Integrity, Community and Excellence.

Ideal candidates have liquor retail experience, a Serving It Right license, and are able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Liquor retail experience preferred.
• Serving It Right certification required.
• Must be 19+ and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Open availability including mornings, afternoons, and evenings.
• WSET 1 accreditation to be obtained within the first year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to guests in a courteous, efficient manner.
• Process register transactions, refunds, and returns; activate gift cards.
• Ensure register drawer is balanced at shift end.
• Stock, face, and rotate products on shelves.
• Receive, check, and store deliveries.
• Keep store and storage areas clean and organized.
• Utilize product knowledge to promote sales.
• Support the team in living Otter Co-op's core values: Integrity, Community and Excellence.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Otter Co-op is now accepting applications for three Part-Time Liquor Store Associates at our Angry Otter Liquor @ Parkcrest located in Burnaby, BC.

What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Liquor Store Manager, responsibilities for this position include the following:

• Provide excellent customer service to guests in a courteous, efficient manner
• Process register transactions, refunds, and returns, activate gift cards
• Ensure register drawer is balanced at the end of shift following company procedures
• Stock, face, and rotate products on the shelves
• Receive, check, and put away deliveries
• Keep store and storage areas clean and organized
• Utilize product knowledge to promote sales
• Contribute to the Team in living the Corporate Values of Integrity, Community and Excellence
• Perform other duties as assigned

Who you are:

• Ability to physically lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and stand for full8 hourshift
• Must be committed to a SAFE working environment
• Must have reliable transportation has bus is not always reliable for all shifts
• MUST be over 19 years of age to be considered
• MUST have open availability and able to work a variety of shifts that include mornings, afternoons, and late evenings (closing shifts endingat 10pm)
• This position is based out of the Angry Otter Liquor @ Parkcrest, though it may require on some occasions to travel and work at other locations as business needs arise
