Job summary

Skyservice Business Aviation is expanding its team in Ottawa. The role involves safely marshalling arriving and departing aircraft, fueling, and delivering a range of ground services to aircraft while maintaining a professional appearance and strong customer focus.

You will work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a rotational day schedule and opportunities to grow within the company. Prior aviation experience is a plus, but a strong work ethic and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid G Driver’s License with ability to obtain DZ license.
  • Aviation experience is considered an asset.
  • Must be a team player with good communication skills.
  • Must have basic computer skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Mechanical inclination is an asset.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work outside in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Safely marshal in and out arriving and departing aircrafts, securing aircraft and providing car valet service, luggage handling as necessary.
  • Safely operate fuel trucks, fueling and completing aircraft orders.
  • Conduct aviation/jet fuel quality checks and procedures.
  • Document fuel quality and fueling inspections on applicable forms.
  • Tow aircraft in and out of hangars and on aprons/ramps.
  • Provide ground services to aircraft (ground power, lavatory waste disposal, potable water, etc.).
  • Ensure readiness and replenishment of anti-ice equipment during winter.
  • Maintain professional appearance and conduct with customers and coworkers.
  • Maintain cleanliness of facilities and equipment.
  • Perform other duties as required.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Safely marshalling in and out arriving and departing aircrafts, taking care to secure the aircraft and provide car valet service, luggage handling as necessary;

  • Safely operate fuel trucks - fueling and completing aircraft orders;

  • Handle aviation/jet fuel quality checks by conducting various tests and procedures;

  • Document fuel quality and fueling equipment inspections on applicable forms;

  • Tow aircraft in and out of hangars and on aprons/ramps;

  • Provide any number of ground services to aircrafts (i.e. connecting ground power units, lavatory waste disposal, potable water etc.);

  • Ensure readiness and replenishment of anti-ice equipment during winter snow events;

  • Maintain a professional appearance and conduct with customers and coworkers;

  • Maintain the cleanliness of all facilities and equipment;

  • Other duties as required.


QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:


  • High school Diploma or GED required;
