Job summary

Skyservice is seeking a Ground Services Attendant in Dorval to marshal aircraft, fuel, load, and provide essential ground support. You will assist with marshalling, towing, and servicing aircraft, including power, water, lavatories, and waste disposal, while ensuring safety and compliance.

In this role you will handle fueling operations, quality checks, and inventory, often outdoors in varying weather. A customer-focused mindset and teamwork are essential, with a strong emphasis on reliability

Qualifications

  • High school Diploma or GED required.
  • Must have a Class 5 driver’s license with ability to obtain DZ license.
  • Aviation experience is considered an asset.
  • Must be a team player with good communication skills.
  • Must have basic computer skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Being mechanically-inclined is considered an asset.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to work outside in a variety of weather/environmental conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Safely marshalling in/out arriving and departing aircrafts and provide car valet service and luggage handling.
  • Operate fuel trucks and complete aircraft fueling orders.
  • Load/receive fuel at storage facility (YYZ only).
  • Perform aviation/jet fuel quality checks and document inspections.
  • Tow aircraft and provide ground services (power units, lavatory waste disposal, potable water).
  • Ensure readiness of anti-ice equipment during winter.
  • Maintain professional appearance and conduct with customers and coworkers.
  • Maintain cleanliness of facilities and equipment.
  • Flexible duties as required.

Job description

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Safely marshalling in and out arriving and departing aircrafts, taking care to secure the aircraft and provide car valet service, luggage handling as necessary;
  • Safely operate fuel trucks - fueling and completing aircraft orders;
  • Performing loading and receiving of fuel at storage facility (YYZ only);
  • Handle aviation/jet fuel quality checks by conducting various tests and procedures;
  • Document fuel quality and fueling equipment inspections on applicable forms;
  • Tow aircraft in and out of hangars and on aprons/ramps;
  • Provide any number of ground services to aircrafts (i.e. connecting ground power units, lavatory waste disposal, potable water etc.);
  • Ensure readiness and replenishment of anti-ice equipment during winter snow events;
  • Maintain a professional appearance and conduct with customers and coworkers;
  • Maintain the cleanliness of all facilities and equipment;
  • Other duties as required.
