Job summary

Hunter Amenities International Ltd. is seeking a Line Service Associate to support production at our Burlington, Ontario facility by ensuring materials are available to meet the production schedule. You will verify parts, sign route sheets, and manage material issuance and shipper labeling to keep lines flowing.

A high school diploma and 1–3 years in a related manufacturing role with forklift/walkie experience are preferred, with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–3 years in a related field is an asset.
  • Experience with walkies and forklifts preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow instructions.
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Able to work in a team or independently.

Responsibilities

  • Verify all materials pulled by the warehouse for correct part numbers and quantities.
  • Sign route sheet at shift start to verify materials for production.
  • Be responsible for all materials issued to the designated line.
  • Produce correct number of shippers with accurate information.
  • Check route sheet for special packaging or labeling documentation.
  • Supply lines with raw materials for production runs.
  • Provide skids and layer cards for lines.
  • Ensure steady supply of caps, bottles, labels, and shippers.
  • Ensure tote batch matches shippers and bottles.
  • Move full skids to warehouse with transfer sheet and wrap.
  • Have transfer sheets signed off by warehouse and filed with route sheet.
  • Return all remaining raw materials to warehouse after job completion.
  • Empty garbage bins during and at end of shift.

Role Purpose

The Line Service position supports production in ensuring that all lines have all materials required to successfully follow and fulfill the production schedule.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Verifies all materials pulled by the warehouse to ensure part numbers and quantities, this would include the lock code
  • Signs route sheet at shift start which verifies that materials are correct for production
  • Responsible for all materials being issued to the designated line
  • Responsible to make correct number of shippers for the job with proper information being transferred
  • Checks the route sheet for special instructions of documentation for shippers, such as special labels to be printed rather than stamping
  • Responsible for servicing the lines with raw materials for production runs
  • Provides skids and layer cards for lines
  • Ensures that the line has a steady supply of caps, bottles, labels and shippers
  • Ensures that tote batch matches shippers and bottles
  • Removes all empty totes to wash out area or other area if specified
  • Transfers full skid from production to warehouse with the transfer sheet and wrapped
  • Makes sure the transfer sheet is signed off by warehouse upon receiving and the original copy is returned and stapled to the route sheet
  • Responsible to return all raw materials to warehouse upon completion of job
  • Responsible for emptying garbage bins throughout shift and at the end of shift
Qualifications and Experience
  • Secondary High School diploma
  • 1-3 years of experience in a related field is an asset
  • Experience with walkies and forklifts preferred
  • Able to read, write, and follow instructions
  • Able to adapt to a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work in a team setting as well as individually
