Wonderbrands in Etobicoke, ON is seeking a Line Leader - Packaging to provide hands-on leadership on a production shift, ensuring schedules are met safely in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

The Day Shift runs from 6am to 6pm, 3–4 days a week including weekends. You will lead Team Leaders and production crews, coordinate schedules, monitor quality and safety, and support the Shift Leader to achieve KPI targets.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Operations Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
• Bright, driven and goal-oriented with a clear career path.
• Ability to learn fast, ambitious and generate innovative ideas.
• Positive attitude and results-oriented mindset.
• Demonstrated leadership with ability to motivate a team to meet schedule demands.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills; basic math.
• Team player with a 'roll up your sleeves' mindset and flexibility to work days, afternoons, nights, weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and foster teamwork across shift.
• Conduct pre-shift huddles and provide feedback to Team Leaders.
• Lead Team Leaders and production crew on one or more lines.
• Coach, mentor and train Leaders and Team Members.
• Ensure production schedules are met and address issues.
• Coordinate department schedules, products and manpower for smooth plant operations.
• Ensure GMPs and safety procedures are followed.
• Back up Shift Leader when necessary.

Overview

Reporting to the Shift Leader and Operations Leader, the Line Leader - Packagingwill provide hands‑on leadership on a production shift within the plant to ensure production schedules are met safely and on time all within a fast‑paced food manufacturing environment.

Shift Schedule: Day Shift - 6am to 6pm, 3 - 4 days a week (includes weekends)

Pay Rate: $34.98/hr.

Location: Etobicoke, ON.

Responsibilities

• Leads by example and fosters an environment of mutual respect and teamwork among Team Members.
• Conduct pre-shift huddles and provide feedback for Team Leaders.
• Responsible for leading Team Leaders in addition to production crew on one or more production lines.
• Leads, coaches, mentors and trains Leaders and Team Members.
• Ensures production schedules are met and deals with problems that may occur.
• Coordinates the various department schedules, products and manpower to ensure that the production in the plant runs smoothly.
• Checks to ensure that proper methods and procedures are being used and that quality, safety, and environmental standards are met.
• Leads, coaches, mentors and trains Team Leaders, and other Team Members as needed.
• Ensures a safe working environment is maintained at all times by enforcing Company standards and regular inspections.
• Assists in all testing of new equipment, methods and or products, as well as trouble shoot processes and equipment.
• Utilizes the OMS system to help achieve production targets.
• Assists Shift Leader in ensuring KPIs are met daily.
• Follows and enforces all GMP’s and Safety Procedures as outlined by Wonderbrands.
• Acts as a backup to Shift Leader when necessary.
• Additional responsibilities may be added to better satisfy needs of the business.
