Job summary

Nortera Foods Inc. is seeking a Packaging Technician in Ontario. You will operate and troubleshoot packaging lines, and help train technicians to keep lines running and meet production targets.

You will work within safety protocols (HACCP, GMP), lifting up to 50 lbs, and contribute to a collaborative culture focused on continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of related experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong computer, communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and changing priorities and work independently.
• Regular lifting/carrying, pushing/pulling up to 50lbs.
• A builder of teams and positive work environments.

Responsibilities

• Be trained and required to operate different types of machinery in order to effectively complete required tasks.
• Train and provide direction to Packaging Technicians to maintain consistent operation of all packaging lines meeting production targets.
• Organize and complete effective and efficient changeovers.
• Troubleshoot packaging equipment and perform preventative maintenance when required.
• Communicating effectively with Operations Leaders to maintain production.
• Working in compliance with established Safety, HACCP, GMP and Food Safety protocols, reporting all concerns to your supervisor.
