Job summary

J&J Snack Foods Corp. in Vernon, Canada seeks a Line Inspector to monitor product quality and ensure process compliance on the designated production line. You will perform inspections, document findings, and communicate deviations to Production, QA and Leadership.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and strong teamwork. Training in Critical Control Points for post-bake and packaging testing is preferred; knowledge of GMP, Food Defense, and SQF programs is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be trained in Critical Control Points to perform post-bake and packaging testing.
• Responsible for ensuring Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Defense, and SQF Programs.
• Self-motivated, with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and adapt to change.
• Ability to demonstrate strong teamwork, and communicate clearly with the team and supervisors.
• Good verbal and written communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual, physical, and documented inspections at designated checkpoints.
• Monitor weights, dimensions, appearance, temperature, color, and other quality attributes.
• Verify metal detector operation and document checks.
• Conduct quality checks and complete required forms accurately.
• Escalate out-of-spec conditions to Production Supervisor and QA promptly.
• Communicate findings during shift handoffs and with the incoming Line Inspector.
• Complete all quality records and login data in real time.
