Job summary

Heyhey Bar & Grill in Kelowna is hiring a Cook to join our team at MNP Place. You’ll help create pub-style meals and ensure high quality dining experiences for customers, while upholding food safety standards and a fast-paced, friendly environment.

This entry-level role prefers recent cook experience in a similar setting; Food Safe certification is a plus, and Sundays 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Thursdays 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm shifts are available. Free parking and easy public transit access provided.

Qualifications

As the Cook, you’re instrumental in creating our customer’s dining experience at Heyhey. You play a critical part in our success. You use your thorough understanding of food safety and handling to prepare high quality meals, ensuring the highest standards are realized. We’ll do our part to provide a fun environment, great teammates to work with and abundant free parking!! If you don’t normally drive to work, not to worry as MNP Place is on a major bus route.

Ideally, you have recent experience as a cook in a similar, “bar & grill” type of place that serves high quality “pub style” meals. As this is an entry level role, kitchen experience is not required, however it is significant asset. If you already have your Food Safe certification, your resume will show up in our “daily specials” board.

If you are available to work onSundays for the 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm shift as well as Thursdays for the 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm shift(other shifts may be available too), have a good sense of humour, a track record of providing excellent meals to your customers, and have your “Food Safe” certification.
