The position offers an hourly wage of CAD 19.00–25.00, with part‑time hours. You’ll work alongside an experienced culinary team, contribute to large‑scale events, and help maintain food safety and quality in a fast paced setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of cooking experience preferred in catering, banquet, restaurant, or hospitality operations.
• Experience in high‑volume catering environments is an asset.
• Ability to operate commercial kitchen equipment listed in the qualifications.
• Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen best practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute menu items for catering events, banquets, conferences, concerts, weddings, and restaurant service.
• Produce high‑quality hot and cold food items according to recipes, portioning standards, and presentation guidelines.
• Assist with buffet service, action stations, and guest‑facing culinary presentations when required.
• Portioning, arranging, and garnishing dishes for service.
• Monitor product quality and ensure food is prepared and cooked to high standards.
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, Kitchen Supervisor, and culinary team to execute events.
• Estimate food quantities based on anticipated guest counts.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment per health standards.
• Report equipment maintenance concerns and assist in kitchen operations.
• Support catering production and event‑based restaurant operations as needed.
• Use standard kitchen tools such as broilers, steamers, convection ovens, mixers, meat slicers, and knives.

This role pays an hourly rate of $19.00-$25.00 CAD
