PUR&SIMPLE is seeking an experienced Line Cook to join our on-site team in Halifax, NS. The role involves preparing and cooking meals, maintaining kitchen operations, and training staff. Location is on-site with standard kitchen responsibilities and a fast-paced environment.

The position requires basic education and 1–2 years of experience in a kitchen setting, with benefits including standard vacation pay and WCB coverage. Start date is as soon as possible.

Qualifications

• Secondary graduation certificate is preferred.
• 1–2 years of cooking/kitchen experience preferred.
• On-site work at the Halifax location is required.

Responsibilities

• Determine the size of food portions and costs.
• Requisition food and kitchen supplies.
• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes.
• Inspect kitchens and food service areas.
• Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food.
• Order supplies and equipment.
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
• Clean kitchen and work areas.
• Manage kitchen operations.
