Everwild Nordic Spa & Hotel in Canmore, AB, is hiring evening line cooks for full-time and part-time roles. Wages range from $20 to $24 hourly, dependent on experience. Eligible staff enjoy a weekly gratuity program, paid lunch breaks, and comprehensive group benefits.

Responsibilities

• Follow proper payroll and uniform procedures.
• Work closely with standard recipes and plate presentations to maintain quality.
• Maintain a clean, neat and organized work area.
• Respond properly in the event of any hotel emergency or safety situation.
• Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by kitchen or resort management.
• Work in any area of the kitchen (line, prep, pastry shop) in supervisory or front-line roles.

Position Overview

We are seeking both full time and part tiime Line Cooks to join our dynamic team. As a line cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious dishes to perfection, ensuring consistent quality and taste.
Shifts: Full-time & part-time, permanent. Weekdays, weekends and, evenings.
Wage: $20 - $24 (dependent on experience)

Travel: a monthly Roam bus pass will be provided if commuting from Banff.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow proper payroll and uniform procedures.
• Work closely with standard recipes and plate presentations in order to maintain standards of quality in production and presentation.
• Maintain a good working relationship with other employees, providing instruction and encouragement as needed.
• Maintain a clean, neat and organized work area.
• Respond properly in the event of any hotel emergency or safety situation.
• Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by kitchen or resort management.
• The ability to work in any area of the kitchen (line, prep, pastry shop, etc.) both in a supervisory or front line role.
• The ability to conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times to reflect the high standards of the Everwild & Base Camp Resorts and encourage staff to do the same

Skills and Experience

Experience/Ability to do the following:

• Forward bend, squat, forward reach to retrieve items from cabinets
• Repetitive forward bend of head/neck
• Lifting through height of 6" to 5'(squatting or forward bend) from dolly to refrigerator shelves
• Carrying boxes/bags of food a distance of 10 feet
• Shoulder motions below 90 degrees shoulder flexion
• Gross grasp to hold tongs, spoons
• Repetitive elbow motion in mid-range for chopping
• Repetitive wrist motions through partial range for stirring and chopping
• Lift boxes of 50 lbs.
• Lift pots of food: 25-50 lbs.
• Stir food: 5-10 lbs. of force may be needed to stir thicker consistency foods such as mashed potatoes.

Requirements
