Job summary

MOSAIC seeks LINC Instructors for Surrey and Burnaby Language Centres. You will deliver ESL lessons, prepare curriculum, and create a welcoming classroom environment both in person and online.

Requirements include an undergraduate degree and TESL certificate, 2+ years teaching adults, and CLB/PBLA familiarity. Travel to two BC centres may be required; 13.5–35 hours weekly with fixed-term support.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree and a TESL Canada-certified TESL certificate or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of adult ESL teaching experience using student-centered methods.
• CLB Bootcamp certificate or equivalent training is required.
• Familiarity with Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) and PBLA is an asset.
• Computer literacy including email and word processing; experience with online learning is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare curriculum and deliver ESL instruction per MOSAIC guidelines for day/evening classes.
• Create welcoming, encouraging classroom environments onsite and online.
• Maintain attendance records and plan field trips, guest speakers, events.
• Assess students using CLB indicators and Portfolio Based Language Assessment (PBLA).
