Job summary

COMPASS GROUP CANADA is seeking a Light Duty Cleaner to perform general custodial tasks in designated areas of our facility. You will dust, mop, clean washrooms, vacuum carpets, and manage waste as part of a team dedicated to safe, clean, and welcoming environments.

Role requires ability to operate cleaning equipment and communicate effectively. The position supports a health-conscious workplace with a focus on safety and reliability in daily duties.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning is an asset.
• Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Reliable, motivated, enthusiastic and a team player.
• Must be able to use cleaning equipment (ie. I-mop, vacuum)
• Physically able to carry out duties of the position.

Responsibilities

• Perform general custodial duties in designated areas and related tasks (cleaning equipment, vacuuming, spot cleaning, sweeping, mopping, waste disposal and other common areas).
• Restock single unit dispensers with soap, towels, toilet tissue and sanitary napkins.

How You Will Make An Impact

You will be responsible for cleaning tasks in designated areas of a building, including dusting, mopping, cleaning washroom fixtures, spot cleaning, emptying, and cleaning ashtrays and vacuuming carpets.

As a Light Duty Cleaner, You Will

• Perform general custodial requirements and any related duties as assigned (duties include but are not limited to use of various cleaning equipment, vacuuming, spot cleaning, sweeping, mopping floors, emptying waste receptacles and other common areas)
• Restock single unit dispensers containing soap, towels, toilet tissue and sanitary napkins
• Complete periodic equipment checks
• Observe/practice all health & safety procedures and policies

About You

• Previous cleaning experience is an asset
• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
• Must be reliable, motivated, enthusiastic and a team player, willing to assist as needed
• Must be able to use cleaning equipment (ie. I-mop, vacuum.)
• Physically able to carry out duties of the position
