General Description

A light duty cleaner is responsible for tasks such as cleaning floors, vacuuming carpets, dusting, cleaning washrooms and kitchens, and collecting garbage and recycling.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Promote a culture of inclusion, innovation, productivity, and collaboration.
• Build strong relationships through clear and transparent communication.
• Participate in all required training.
• Follow all health and safety regulations.
• Clean floors and stairwells using appropriate equipment.
• Vacuum carpets and mats; spot clean and shampoo rugs as directed.
• Maintain and perform preventative maintenance on cleaning equipment.
• Empty garbage and recycling, replace liners, and transport waste.
• Thoroughly clean washrooms and kitchens, disinfect fixtures, and restock supplies.
• Spot clean walls, doors, and surfaces to remove marks.
• Clean elevators and monitor for defects like clogged urinals or out lights.
• Perform high dusting and wall washing.
• Additional site-specific duties as needed.

Requirements

• Ability to follow directions, work independently, and cooperatively within a team.
• Attention to detail, pride in service, organization, and stamina.
• Experience with cleaning tools and equipment; auto scrubbers are an asset.
• Dependability and reliable transportation.
