Job summary

Northland Properties is seeking Part Time Winter Lift Attendants in North Vancouver. You will help manage lineups, assist guests on loading/unloading, and ensure safe and efficient operation of mountain chairlifts under supervision.

The role is outdoor, seasonal and hourly, with shifts that include weekends and holidays. Training is provided, and you will be part of a team delivering a high-quality guest experience in winter conditions.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greeting guests with a friendly demeanor.

Role Status: Part Time only– Seasonal – Hourly

Job Summary

As a Part Time Winter Lift Attendant, you are responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient flow in line ups of the mountain chairlifts; including greeting guests, managing line control, snow removal and providing physical assistance when required. With direct supervision from the Lift Operations Supervisor, the Winter Lift Operator is expected to deliver a safe and exceptional experience for all mountain guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Greeting every guest with a smile and friendly comment
• Providing physical assistance to guests loading or unloading from the chairlift
• Listening and reacting to guests; seeking additional information from lead hand or supervisor in order to answer guest inquiries
• Maintaining a high quality, friendly and cooperative relationship with guests and mountain staff
• Notifying lead hand or supervisor in the event of unsafe, unusual, abnormal situations or incidents
• Controlling line-ups by directing guests to appropriate queues
• Shoveling snow from load/unload ramps, raking and grooming ramps
• Keeping lift stations clear of snow and ice, and keeping lift huts, tools and loading/unloading areas clear of clutter
• Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibility

This position reports directly to the Lift Operations Supervisor with no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

• Skiing or Snowboarding experience preferred
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to provide excellent guest service at all times, especially during periods of inclement weather
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Able to work weekend shifts, occasional evening shifts as well as some holidays
• Must enjoy working outdoors in varied weather conditions
• On-the-job training provided

Working Conditions

Winter Lift Attendants perform most of their duties outdoors and may work in all different kinds of weather conditions. Hours of operation are weather dependent. A variety of work schedules may include weekend shifts, occasional evening shifts and statutory holidays including Christmas break and Spring break. Shifts require standing for long periods of time and physical assistance of guests loading the chairlift.

Compensation and Benefits

$19.28/hour to $22.55/hour
