Job summary

Northern Health in Terrace, BC is seeking a Lifeskills Support Worker to help clients with mental, developmental, and/or physical disabilities live successfully in the community. Under supervision, you will join the Mental Health team to implement psychosocial rehabilitation and recovery plans tailored to each client.

The role involves daily living support, teaching and coaching, light housekeeping, transportation to events and appointments, and active engagement with clients and their support

Qualifications

• Diploma in Social Services Support Worker program; 2 years of related experience.
• CPR Level C and Food Safe certificates.
• Valid Class V BC Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with mental, developmental, and/or physical disabilities to live in the community.
• Implement PSR and recovery plans with the Mental Health team.
• Provide daily personal and life skills support, advocacy, and teaching.
• Support daily living activities and transportation to events and appointments.
