Job summary

Midtown Athletic Clubs in Montreal is seeking a Lifeguard to monitor our pools and keep aquatics areas safe. You will explain rules, enforce regulations, and respond quickly to emergencies.

Ideal candidates hold national lifeguard, CPR/AED and first aid certifications, are strong swimmers, and can teach or communicate safety to members.

Qualifications

• Must hold lifeguarding certification and CPR/AED First Aid.
• Strong swimming ability and water rescue training.
• Customer service oriented with good interpersonal skills.
• Lifesaving Society certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Explain and enforce rules, regulations, and policies to ensure safety of patrons.
• Maintain order in swimming areas.
• Respond to emergencies and rescue swimmers in danger of drowning.
• Maintain cleanliness of aquatics areas to promote an enjoyable experience.
• Enforce the pool rules to ensure a safe and clean environment.

Midtown is looking for a Lifeguard to watch over our pools and ensure the safety of our aquatics areas.

The Position

As An Integral Part Of The Aquatics Team, Our Lifeguards Inspire Members Through Movement, Community, And Personal Attention. They Encourage Active, Social, And Healthier Lives By

• Explaining and enforcing rules, regulations, and policies to ensure safety of patrons
• Maintaining order in swimming areas
• Responding to emergencies and rescuing swimmers in danger of drowning
• Maintaining cleanliness of aquatics areas to promote an enjoyable experience
• Enforcing the pool rules to ensure a safe and clean environment

Lifeguard Requirements

• Customer service oriented, with great interpersonal skills
• Are strong swimmers trained and certified in water rescue
• Possess nationally recognized certifications in aquatics including: Lifeguarding, Pro CPR/AED, First Aid
• Certified by the Lifesaving Society
• Possess ability to provide multisensory instruction: auditory, visual, tactile, kinesthetic
